On April 24, CCTV News released a report titled “Procurement Exceeds RMB 200 Million: Canton Fair Boosts China-Australia Industrial Cooperation”, with the following content:

The 137th Canton Fair is scheduled to host over 1,000 trade promotion activities. On April 23, a special business matchmaking event was held specifically for Australian buyers, allowing them to have in-depth, face-to-face exchanges with Chinese exhibitors and further promoting industrial cooperation between China and Australia.

In the meeting rooms of the Canton Fair venue, a delegation of Australian buyers held “one-on-one” discussions with representatives from more than 20 Chinese exhibiting companies. The buyer delegation, composed of 35 professionals from the Australian construction industry, is expected to place orders exceeding RMB 200 million. Notably, in addition to promotional materials, many Chinese exhibitors also brought product samples to the event, allowing buyers to gain a more intuitive understanding of the products' functions and features.

Australian buyer Jeff Baxter said:
"Events like this provide a great opportunity to connect and communicate with different companies. I pay attention to technologies, equipment, and intelligent solutions that can help our factories in Australia operate more efficiently and safely. I believe these are exactly the strengths of Chinese manufacturing."

After the matchmaking session, the buyers, still eager to explore, continued touring the exhibition halls individually, hoping to bring more Chinese-made products back home.

Australian buyer Samuel Mitchell said:
"Chinese products are incredibly diverse. Whatever you need, you can find it here."

Edmond Atalla, Member of Parliament from New South Wales, Australia remarked:
"Many Chinese suppliers are also looking for new markets, and Australia happens to need support in trade with China. So this is a great time—an ideal moment for collaboration. I hope through cooperation, we can further strengthen China-Australia relations."
